Hello readers!I am currently curled up in my bed watching a Michigan storm brew outside my window and procrastinating my research homework. I figured this would be a perfect time to review some of my favourite makeup products! My new pen pal Ally sent me a mission, and one of those tasks was to send a picture of my favourite makeup products, so that inspired me to write a blog post about it! I am no makeup guru by any means (heck, I barely knew what primer was until last summer), but I just thought I'd share.
In seventh grade I was the absolute worst at makeup. I know most everybody goes through a horrid makeup phase, but mine was bad. I'm talking dark eyeliner everywhere. I'm talking about clumpy mascara, messy foundation, and a mere coating of obnoxious eyeshadow.
Okay, maybe not that bad.
But it was still pretty ghastly. I look back and criiiinge. Thanks to many Pinterest and Youtube tutorials, makeup savvy friends, and an older sister, my makeup skills have improved.

1. Maybelline Pure BB
I have been using this stuff for YEARS and I love it! It's so light and smooth. One thing I have about using liquid foundation is the heavy, pore-clogging feeling but I've never gotten that from this.
2. ELF Shadowlock Primer
Secret: I have never used primer until last summer. I bought this on a whim because A) I like ELF and B) their products are ridiculously low priced. It keeps my eyeshadow on and helps my eyeliner glide right on. Why I waited until last summer? Je ne sais pas.
3. ELF Ink Eyeliner *
I have been a fan of the cat eye since ninth grade so I have been through many eyeliners, but this one is by far my favourite because of how easy it glides on.
*I don't think this is the exact one I have, but it looks very similar.

4. Bobbi Brown Art Stick
It's a bit on the pricier side, but it's a must for any lipstick enthusiasts. It's super bright (I have it in "Punch") and stays on forever! I normally wouldn't be down for paying this much for makeup but my aunt works at Neiman Marcus, and she invites my family and I to these fashion/makeup events, and each person gets a $50 credit to spend. Bobbi Brown is my favourite brand to spend it all on!
5. EOS Lip Balm
I think this is obvious to most teenage girls. I've seen a billion girls at my highschool who have them, but if you're still unaware, please do yourself a favour and buy one. They're adorable and they stay on forever. I put some on every morning before I leave for school and I swear I can still feel it by lunch.
6. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme
This is another must for lipstick lovers. If you want a matte effect as oppose to a shinier gloss, this is for you. The matte leaves not only a sophisticated look but also a fashionable one.
I hope you find something you like! If you're like seventh grade me, I hope you can find a little guidance in this. Ciao,
xx, Sarah
